Lovecraft, Chris Jamison’s fifth studio album, was released in the spring of 2015. Working out of an old school house in a ghost town high in the mountains of Northern Arizona, and small home studios in Austin, TX, the album is a culmination of the many years and miles. Mixed by Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Lake Street Dive) and Mastered by Scott Hull (owner of the famed Master Disk in NY), Lovecraft represents the next leap for this young artist.
Jamison was born in Texas, raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and finished high school in London, England. It was in London that Jamison first began writing and performing his own music. Chris Jamison is a songwriter with a keen sense of hook, and melody and a gift for words and the turn of a phrase. No Depression has called his songs “sing-a-long immediate and earworm lasting” , while the Austin Chronicle has called the “prolific” young songwriter’s lyrics “contemporary poetry”, and named his Sleeping with the T.V. On EP to its Top Ten List of 2013.
