The Freeway Revival is a band that was forged on the road. A passion for creating and performing original music, and an extensive tour schedule, has built a seasoned songwriting team who’s music is complete with all the stories of blessings and trials that mold a traveling band. It is this first hand and fast living that give the band an alchemic chemistry and powerful stage presence, that lends to a great live show.
The Freeway Revival’s blend of classic rock, blues, country, and soul incorporates lyrics that are an expression of life on the road. Tasteful guitar harmonies, vocal harmonies, and an assortmentof piano and organ melodies provide an all-encompassing, familiar sound.
The Freeway Revival has been blessed with opportunities to open for artists such as Kansas, Ron Holloway, Story of the Year and Devin Allman’s band, The Royal Southern Brotherhood. The band has toured coast to coast on multiple occasions playing to responsive crowds.
In May 2014, the band traveled to Los Angeles where they recorded their second studio album with John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions (Allman Bros. Band, Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd). The album features Jorgen Carlsson of Gov’t Mule on bass, and was released during the autumn of 2014.
As 2015 unfolded the band continued to tour in the United States as well as completed its first European tour to very receptive audiences. As 2016 embarks the band is hopeful for more opportunities to grow musically as well as new places to share their music.
