PBC Event Ambassador Program

Volunteer/Ambassador Program

“The captain is only as good and his crew.”

Pisgah Brewing Co. has become a premier music venue and event space in the southeast and can contribute these accolades to our crew. It takes all the many “pieces” to do their part to create the best possible “whole” event. We are proud of the results our team has created throughout the years. This is an opportunity for you to be involved in the operations of our well tuned machine. Thank you for your desire to be part of our team.

Our volunteer positions all support different departments throughout an event. From the Box Office to Backstage, from Beertending to Waste Management, these are all essential jobs with different hours and obligations. Some require more skill and attention than others. It is our goal to fill the spots with an efficient, dedicated, and positive crew.

What Pisgah Brewing Co. needs from you:

Time and energy, and an application. Fill out the application that simply tells us who you are and what you want to do. Once we have reviewed the applications, we will do our best to accommodate. Note that there are a limited number of positions available. Also note that any volunteer position has the potential to become a staff position with hard work and a positive attitude.

What you get from Pisgah Brewing Co:

VOLUNTEERS (single show)

For any event you work, you will have GA access to that event and beer token.

If you work a minimum of 10 events, you get:

  • A Pisgah branded t-shirt (to be worn at all shows while working)
  • GA access to each event you work
  • A beer token (after working each)
  • 1 GA ticket to any of this year’s events for yourself (non-transferable)
  • A guest GA ticket to 5 events

Ambassadors are required (and will be reminded) to make a social media posts for each Pisgah event at least once per event.

NOTE: GA tix are subject to availability. Requests must be made at least 7 days in advance. Multi-day events count as separate days.

The fine print:

  • All volunteers must be 21+ years old.
  • Punctuality is a must.
  • Sobriety is a must. No drinking or signs of intoxication will be tolerated.
  • Closed toes shoes are mandatory for all positions.
  • Proper attire must be worn. There is no dress code, but you must be presentable and appropriate. If you’re not sure if what you’re wearing is appropriate, it probably isn’t.
  • Positivity is preferred. We all have things to be less than happy about, but there’s a time and a place to let it be heard; Not during fun events. A positive attitude reflects on everyone.

Department needs:

Beertender (5hrs)

Must be able to pour and serve beer. Longer hours with tips.

Box Office (3hrs)

Must be cordial and kind to all incoming patrons and support the Box Office managers with the flow and process of ticketing and entering the event.

Hospitality (3hrs)

Must be able to remain professional and considerate to the needs and support of the Hospitality manager as well as the artists and crew. This is a backstage position and will require proper vetting to avoid unwanted situations. Note that there is no backstage access beyond the volunteer hours.

Merch Support (4hrs)

Must be able to cooperate with the venue or artist tour manager to sell wares using various “point of sale” processes.

Parking (3hrs)

Must be able to cooperate with the Parking manager to adequately get patrons into the parking lots and to the box office with a friendly and positive attitude. This is an important position as it is the first impression the patrons experience upon coming to the event. This is also one of the easier positions and is complete typically by the start of the performance.

Security (4hrs)

Must be able to cooperate with the Security manager and team at all times. Must be able to comply and understand the rules and regulations and be able to enforce them in a positive and considerate demeanor. Must be able to comply with all state laws in handling issues and situations. Heavy handed security is not welcome. Safety for the patrons is our top priority.

Site Ops (4hrs)

Must be physically capable to assist in the build and strike of the event and cooperate with the Site Ops manager to do so in a timely manner.

Stage Support (2-4hrs load-in / load-out)

Must be physically capable and experienced to cooperate with the needs of the Stage manager and touring managers to efficiently build and strike the stage. Some builds take longer than others. Load-out is typically less than 2hrs.

Waste Management/Recycling (1hr shifts x4 throughout the day)

Must be able to cooperate with Waste Management manager to maintain the site’s waste management. There’s only a handful of locations with Waste Management. Typically takes less than an hour per shift.

Thank you for wanting to be part of our team.
